Nothing But Nets,
a United Nations Foundation campaign
Nothing But Nets is a global grassroots campaign to raise awareness, funds, and voices to fight malaria. In 2006, sports columnist Rick Reilly wrote a column in Sports Illustrated challenging each of his readers to donate at least $10 to send insecticide-treated bed nets to protect families from malaria-carrying mosquitoes. Since then, with the help of partners and supporters, Nothing But Nets has raised over $65 million to help deliver 12 million bed nets to families in need, along with other crucial malaria interventions like diagnostics, treatment, and training of healthcare workers.
As Senior Producer of Digital Strategy at Nothing But Nets, a campaign of the United Nations Foundation, I’ve used digital communications as a means to educate Americans and people around the world about this deadly disease, and encouraged them to take action through making donations and contacting their elected officials.
As Senior Producer of Digital Strategy I manage all website content and our blog. In 2016 I grew site traffic by 15% and blog traffic by 58%, and initiated a website redesign process that launched July 2017.
I led the NothingButNets.net redesign process by hosting internal stakeholder interviews, drafting a Request for Proposal, evaluating top firms, selecting our preferred agency, and negotiating cost and scope of work. Throughout the process I served as sole project manager, wrote all website copy, and managed stakeholder approvals on all moving pieces.
Digital Strategy and Promotion of Celebrity and Corporate Partnerships
I work closely with our Senior Strategy & Partnerships Officer to manage digital promotion of celebrity partners including athletes Stephen Curry, actors Nia Long, Scott Wolf, and Alexandra Daddario, and corporate partners such as the NBA, Cotopaxi, Johnson & Johnson, Discovery Channel, among others. This entails leading design and development of web pages, developing unique social media strategies, and crafting promotional content for each partnership. See just a few examples below.
Email and Social Media Fundraising
I work closely with our fundraising team, managing online fundraising strategy including donation form design and co-managing email fundraising, which resulted in a 19% increase in online donations and a 24% increase in new online donors totaling approximately 1M online in 2016. I also oversaw a CRM migration effort and led the organizational process of our constituent data migration and form development, list building, and transactional data in the process.
Additionally, I've stewarded innovative social media fundraising tactics including Johnson & Johnson’s Donate A Photo app, Facebook Donate, RallyUp for peer-to-peer and celebrity pledge donation campaigns, Stephen Curry’s Slyce platform for celebrity social media engagement, and Esri for geo-mapping and visual storytelling.

Social Media Training
I acted as a social media subject matter expert at Prophet, offering hands-on training to junior and senior leaders across geographies, focusing particularly on how to build personal brands and how to use social media as a selling tool.
As Prophet began focusing on the notion of "growing better businesses," I focused on growing our content strategy to include video and multimedia. I conceptualized and developed Prophet's Driving Better Growth video series to shine a spotlight on how we approach growth strategy with our clients.
I built an initial list of clients and contacts to feature, handled all logistics of scheduling video shoots, wrote scripts and talking points for the interviews, worked closely with our videographer on editing footage, led the creative design and development of the Driving Better Growth landing page, published and promoted the video content and oversaw native advertising campaigns for added exposure. The initial launch was successful, and as a result we expanded the content into downloadable PDFs supported by lead capturing forms as well as a podcast, now featured on iTunes.
